The Min River Night Cruise is Fuzhou’s most cinematic evening experience — a 50-minute to 1.5-hour boat ride along the illuminated riverfront that turns Jiefang Bridge, Zhongzhou Island, and the city skyline into a continuous light show. Boats depart from Xindou Wharf and are designed with local cultural elements inspired by Three Lanes and Seven Alleys, decorated with oil-paper umbrellas and jasmine flowers.
The cruise has become especially popular with younger travelers for its hanfu (traditional costume) photo opportunities — operators offer a 10% discount to passengers in traditional dress, and the on-board atmosphere of lanterns, calligraphy stations, and poetry readings against the flowing city lights makes for social-media-ready content. Tickets run around CNY 128–158 depending on the boat type.
